Lent in Hazelbury Bryan and the Hillside Parishes
Lent in the Benefice of Spire Hill
Work and Worship for the fives and over.
The Okeford Benefice Lent course will be
based on 'Changing Lives - for Good' This is a course produced by the Diocese
of Bath and Wells for the Church of England, and is a series of DVD
presentations, followed by study, reflection, and discussion.
In order to make the course available to as many as possible, we have decided to hold an afternoon session and an evening session during Lent.
The afternoon group will meet at Child Okeford
Church on six Wednesdays, beginning on Ash Wednesday, 6th February,
from 2.30 - 4pm.
The evening group will be at Mulberry House, the home of Andrea Hagenbuch, on five Tuesdays, beginning on 12th February, from 7.30 - 9pm.
On Tuesday evenings in Lent, starting on 12th February, there
will be an act of worship with an address exploring the Mission of the Church
through various agencies at work overseas as well as in Britain. Each evening starts at 7.30pm and lasts
about an hour in each of the respective parish churches as detailed below. Coffee will be served afterwards to allow
for informal discussion on the issues raised. The authorised ministers of this
benefice will be leading these evenings to which all are welcome.
